# Cancellations

> How to cancel a CrazyNode service and understand what happens after cancellation.

You can cancel any service directly from the client area. Cancellations are processed at the end of the current billing period by default so you don't lose paid-for time.

## How to cancel

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the service">
    Client area → **Services → My Services** → click the service.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Click Request Cancellation">
    Located under **Actions** or the service management page.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose cancellation type">
    * **End of billing period** — keep the service until it expires (recommended)
    * **Immediate** — terminate now; not eligible for refund unless within the money-back window
  </Step>

  <Step title="Provide a reason (optional)">
    Helps us improve. Skip if you prefer.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Confirm">
    You'll receive a confirmation email.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## What happens after cancellation

* **Auto-renewal is disabled** — you won't be billed again for this service.
* **Access remains** until the end of the paid period (unless you chose immediate).
* **Data is deleted** on the termination date. Download backups first.
* **The service can't be recovered** once terminated. Reprovisioning creates a fresh instance.

<Warning>
  Immediate cancellation permanently deletes all data on the server. Always back up first.
</Warning>

## Reversing a cancellation

As long as the service hasn't yet terminated, you can revoke the cancellation from the same service page or by [contacting support](/support/tickets).

## Cancellations vs. refunds

Cancellation stops future billing. It does not automatically refund past payments. See the [refund policy](/billing/refunds) for eligibility.
